Hello!

Welcome to my blog! I'm so glad you've found your way here. First, let me offer my apologies, as I am relatively new to blogging. However, since my goal to connect better to books of interest to teens, I figured it was about time that I get on board with the media teens use as well.
I'm a high school English teacher with a cultivated interest in Young Adult Literature. I read a lot of it myself for the book club I run at school, so I'll share thoughts on many titles I've found. I'm also always looking for new titles, so please - share your favorite titles with me, or let me know where to look to find reviews, upcoming releases, old favorites etc. Thanks - and check back soon, I'll try to keep this updated.

  1. And what an awesome book club it is :-D As to finding upcoming books, go to Amazon, search a book that is upcoming that you know you want, such as, um, No More Us For You. Click it. Then go down, and there is this thing called listmania. Click it, it'll probably say Upcoming books of 2009, books I am looking forward to, something such as that. They're lists made by YAs as nerdy as me who have been searching Amazon for the latest and greatest :-p It's how I made my huge list.

  2. I'm glad to see another 'not so young adult' out there that is loving young adult books. After reading Harry Potter and Twilight, I got hooked on YA books! I still read other things, but there are some great books out for young readers!!

  4. If you like Twilight you should also check out Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and Enders Game by Orson Scott Card. There are a ton of other great YA books out there. I think I'm enjoying them even more now than when I was a young adult :)

    Welcome to blogging!
